"Mask" is a very touching movie, based on the true story of a young man named Rocky Dennis, who was afflicted with a very rare disease, colloquially termed 'lionitis'--a disfiguring enlargement of the face and cranium. I wouldn't recommend that this film be viewed by young children, as it can be a trifle distressing; otherwise it's a beautiful story, splendidly acted, casting Eric Stoltz as Rocky, Cher as biker-mother Rusty, Sam Elliott as the freewheeling Gar, and Laura Dern as Rocky's lovely blind girlfriend.
